Video Input

When DT1 is launched, it tries to find a source of video input. If it succeeded to open a channel of available device, such as Web camera, DV camera, video digitizer, and so on; the sequence of images from the device is used as the video input. You can use an internal iSight or any external device that QuickTime Sequence Grabber can open.

If the default height of captured image is larger than 480 pixels, it is forced to be 480 pixels by keeping the ratio between width and height. If your machine is not powerful enough, DT1 starts with half size mode of captured image.

If it failed to open an external device for video input, it prompts you to indicate a movie file to use it instead of the external input as shown in the right figure. The sequence of images obtained from movie's play is used as a spare of captured sequence. If you click Cancel button, it ignores the function of video input, then the agents form a collective behavior without any external effects.
