Recording

You can save a sequence of produced images and music into a file of QuickTime format. Clicking Recording Start Button shown in the top right figure shows a window in the bottom right figure to ask the file name and precise format. Recording starts when you click Save button after input a file name, and the label of recording start button changes into Recording Stop Button as shown in the middle right figure.

The some buttons in lower part of the bottom figure allow you to indicate how to record it. Clicking Compression ... button shows a window to choose the compression method for movie data and its parameters. You can choose the types of media to be recorded from four types, Video, Music, Voice at This Side, and Voice from Remote Side. The last type is effective only when Flocking Messengers works.

Because the actual refreshing span of consecutive frame images varies according to calculation time needed to construct the next image, the each frame duration is adjusted to the actual time span between displayed images. The values of frame duration is not constant.

The recorded track for music is not a sound track but a music track, that is, it is recorded in a sequence of information to play the instruments. It will be played using QuickTime Music Archtechture. If you check the button labeled MIDI File, a file of standard MIDI format is created other than the movie file, in which the sequence of music played is recorded. The filename is formed by changing the extention to mid from the movie filename.
