Overview

It is possible to control an application software from another program of AppleScript, if it is adaptable to AppleScript. That is, it can be operated along with a pre-defined sequence automatically.

This software named MIDI AE has a functionality that assigns a short program of AppleScript to a MIDI message transmitted from a MIDI device. Therefore, you can operate the target application by keys, knobs, and sliders of MIDI device according to the assignment.

An information of key velocity and knob position can be also embeded in the script.
