Exporting a Partial Movie into a New File

When you click the toolbar item Export Movie or the menu item Export Movie... in the file menu of menu bar, the system displays a file selection sheet to prompt you to indicate a new file into which a trimmed movie will be saved. The part of movie to be exported starts from Start time and ends at End time in the Settings Drawer.

You can choose the format of the new movie file from three choices, QuickTime, Apple MP4 Video, and MPEG-4, of which filename extensions are .mov, .m4v and .mp4 respectively. If you attach one of these extenstions, the new movie is save in the corresponding format. If you omit the filename extension when you indicate the output file, QuickTime movie format with .mov extension is used.
